Wapato Point Resort is located within minutes of Lake Chelan, and is the perfect place to do some water activities! Lake Chelan is over 50 miles of pristine blue water! Fourteen major trails with starting points for 250 miles of maintained summer trails. Trails in the back-country include over 60 miles of varied terrain north and south of Lake Chelan. These trails are open to motorcycles, horses, mountain bikers and hikers. The Chelan Ranger District contains 422,000 acres! - Thrills and Tours-

With over 70 acres of terrain, the snow activities are endless! There’s great family fun at Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area, with sledding and tubing in addition to skiing and snowboarding! Further up the road you have great cross country skiing at Echo Ridge, with miles of groomed. With 170 miles of well-marked, groomed trails, snowmobilers agree that the spectacular scenery makes the Lake Chelan area ideal!
Packing for this destination in the winter time is fairly easy. Bring lots of warm things, like, so many warm things. If you are skiing, it's a good idea to bring things to layer, so you can remove items if it gets warmer. Obviously, don't forget the skis, snowboards and other gear related to shredding snow. In the summertime, travelers should make sure they bring comfortable clothes that can help them relax! If you will be hiking, make sure that you bring boots and bug spray! Even in the hottest summer months the temperature can get down at night, so it's a good idea to bring long pants and sweatshirts/coats to make sure you are comfortable. Other than that, travelers may want to bring along some clothes for a night out on the town as some of the restaurants are quite nice.
